Hello, I've got a pair of custom speakers, Fostex 206E's in a ported cabinet. The port currently is just a three inch hole in the front baffle which is 1 3/4" thick. I designed the cabinet with spec's from fostex to have a 40 liter volume.
I was just thinking of taking the speakers another level and to experiment with inserting a port tube maybe 3" to 6" in the hole. I was just wondering if there is an easy way to determine which measurement would work best other than the obvious of just listening to the bass.
