Seems to me it came along with Jantzen and KLH electro-stats. For the first time, there was a viable, even superior, departure from cone speakers.Unfortunately, they had little output in the bottom octave.
So I have to ask? If you're designing home audio speakers, and not using planar or ribbon drivers, why wouldn't you include an F3 of 32Hz in every speaker you make?
