Reading the Altec literature tells me they have used 416 woofers in the fronthorn loaded cabinet but most of the 4 or 5 A7 cabs I have seen used the 515's with 511 horns and 802's. I always believed that was what constituted an A7. Has anyone had experience with comparing the two set-ups ie, 416/511/806 with the 515/511/802?
I was drug up to believe the 416 worked best in the ported bass-reflex cab while the A7's required the 515's and the more sensitive HF drivers.
