hi all, first post here.
i am new to set, looking for hi eff speaks.
don't want horns. don't want 4" fullrange.
been there, done that. didn't like them much.
looking for more hifi designs with hi output.
options?

HI,
YOu can try the fostex fe206E. It's a good 8" driver that gives decent bass, down to about 60 HZ, in a BR box.

Go to the Pi speaker forums on the main page Wayne has some good Hi-effencency designs. People seem to like the Pi 2 towers and the Pi 4's with tube amps.

The upside is that with every doubling of drivers you get an additional 3dB of radiating efficiency, the downside is you need a lot of drivers. Buy your drivers on close-out and it works out pretty well.
