Wayne, my favorite and most realistic sounding speaker is the Proac Response 1sc's. I've always read that since it only has a 5" mid-bass driver, it can't possibly have a decent bass response. Well that is just BS and the result of a common illusion (read confusion). I've tried many times to replace them with horn speakers, but have never found a more realistic sound than what I get with the Proac's. Maybe your speakers produce this 'more realistic sound', but since I have no wood working tools and can't afford to have you make them for me, it may be a while before I can find out. I've had Cornwall's & La Scala's, but ended up selling them.

I've also noticed a disconnect between 'high efficiency' & an easy load to drive. I'll take the easy load any day.
