There any Altec lovers in the house? A7 suits me plenty.

I use a pair of Valencias that I like. Completely stock , very lively and musical. I listen to my Pi4's mostly, they are slightly more revealing in my set-up, and they reproduce more of the frequency extremes. I also have a complete set of model 19 parts I will be building into a Pi configuration this summer with tube crossover with the kind help of the Pisters on this forumn. A7's are real nice, Bruce Berman lives 8 miles from here and he uses them with some wild tube stuff, pre-amp using 76 triode with all transformer coupled type 50 triode tube amps. His have the modified 500 hz. xover.

Oh yes! I use the A-7 in my main system. 828 boxes, 511-B horns with 902 high frequency drivers. Bass drivers are either 515-8G or 416-8C, depending on which is sent off for reconing from "cat scratching" ( have lost 2 only over the years)
