I was wondering what other kinds of project studio monitors people are using. I have a pair of Event Project Studio 6 Biamped monitors, which I'm pretty happy with although they're the only ones I've used in my system.

Does anyone here still use the Yamaha NS 10s?

I never used Yamaha NS 10s simply because of the negative feedback from customers. That's why I don't recommend the NS-10 for your main speakers. I guess Yamaha NS-10s are about the worst possible speaker for me to be mixing on.

I'm not sure how much the NS 10s are used for consumer systems, but I still see them very often in photos of studio setups.

I think maybe the very flat response isn't as interesting for home use, but it's very valuable if you want an accurate representation of the mix.
