Hi there,

So I got this JVC FS-G5 mini stereo system that broke down on my after 1 month (made in China, figures), and instead of wasting time getting it fixed just so that it can break down again one month from now, I've decided to upgrade to home theatre. I went out and bought the Yamaha HTR-5830 receiver (opinions) and order a full set of Precision Audio speakers (Centre, front, surround, sub), but the speakers won't arrive for another week or so, and I'm itching to try out the receiver. So, can I simply take the two speakers from my JVC FS-G5 unit (90 watt x 2) and fit them to the receiver? Thanks!

Yes, you can use your speakers with the Yamaha receiver.
