Might be a cool little high excursion woofer. I see the spider is in the back, but I didn't notice anything else different. Am I missing something?

Well, it just looks generally weird to me - very deep straight basket, the magnet place so high, up into the spokes, the suspension in the back - I'm sorry if I implied it's something truly unique, but it does seem rather different from the run-of-the-mill.

I'll bet it's designed for very high excursion. It looks pretty cool, actually.

My guees is that there are two spiders - one on each end of the voice coil. This allows for a much tighter gap and better BL for a given motor structure. It probably has long excursion.

The downside to this kind of design is a lot of mass in the Voice coil. This creates an extremely limited bandwidth - OK in a subwoofer, a disaster in anything else.
