I have a pair of KOSS Model 1 Electrostatic speakers. I don't know how to use them in my system. Do they need to be plugged in? They have no electrical plug anywhere on them.

Have you tried connecting them to an amp?

Yes I hooked them to an amp and nothing happened. They are huge speakers and along with the two speaker wire connections there is a small round female connnector on the back.

HI,
I did some reasearch and they do need to be plugge into the wall. Also, they need a large amp, 100 WPC or more, able to handle varying loads...like a carver amp.
