I had this Titanic 12 (see the link for T-S PDF) in an 2.6 cu ft box with a 4" X 1 7/8" port and now a 4.9 cu ft box with 17" X 3 7/8 port. It goes deep but gets boomy. PE says a sealed box 2.5 cu ft is good with F3 35 Hz. But not low enough for movies.
If I was willing to build something as big as a refrigerator, perhaps?

Yeah, buddy! Put that speaker in a 10ft3 box tuned to 16Hz using a 4" diameter port that's 10" long. Flat down to 16Hz!

With extensive bracing and the top and bottom doubled thick that would make an 19.5 X 19.5 X 60 box! I like it!
Almost as big as the Edgar. Maybe make it a horn?

You could make a horn, but it would have to be as big as a house to get you down to 16Hz. Maybe something like this?

For something a little bit smaller, I love the looks of the subs Martinelli makes, and they're just the right size for you. You could also make your cabinet in a way that fits nicely into a corner, and use the expansion from the corner to your advantage.

Nope. Not that big! 60" tall with a complex bracing scheme, 250 watt amp, flat to 16Hz.Gonna do it. Thanx, Wayne.

Just imagine if that guy designed that massive horn using the wrong T/S parameters for his drivers by accident or something, and only realized after he built it all, haha. It wont be easy modifying a brick horn :P

Heya. Certainly a horn would give sickening SPls but only to ~40hz in 200L and ~30hz in 400Litres... 20hz= ?? 600Litre? and thats a fully Compromised horn thats only 101db/1watt!
