i just picked up a denon dn780 and its fantastic. highly recommended! i just wanted it to record tapes for places where i cant use cds but it sounds really good. i do have one question. people tell me i need to demagnetize from time to time. what in the bleep is that?

Really nothing to demagnetizing. You can get a demagnetizing coil at Radio Shack and use it once in a while.
