I'm trying to figure out the same thing myself. I bought a 12 volt dc 100 milli-amp (mA) power supply at the thrift store. I'm going to cut the heads off both the record player plug and the adapter plug, strip the wires, and connect the white lined wire to the white lined wire. Only thing is the player might not be dc but ac. The colored part of the electric wire goes from solid white to dotted lines and then back, alternating every inch or so. I'm going to do another few minutes of research before I connect. Write me if you still have your player and you wan to know how it went.
