I didn't really have a better place to put this but I wanted
to repeat, after some contact with the new book by Alden called
"Speakerbuilding 201", I can strongly recommend it as being
grounded in theory but accessible in a way that something like
the Dickenson "cookbooks" are not.
Quite frankly, I never succeeded in learning even rudimentary
high school math. I won't be able to do the equations. But Alden
goes on to describe the various software aids to design and lastly
describes in the detail I've always needed but found to be "assumed"
in various magazine subscriptions and other book topics the process
and execution of a design.
I bought the book. The publisher and the author deserve our support. Old Colony books and _audioXpress_ magazine edited by
Edward T. Dell produced "Speakerbuilding 201."
