I got this Denon a few months ago, and more recently its begun sounding a bit off. Certain frequencies - basically higher treble - sound scratchy and muddled, almost as though my stylus is dusty (but its not). This happens with virtually all of my records, independent of how clean they are. I've called Denon and they don't seem to have much of an answer. Thoughts?

Have you looked at the stylus under magnification? Could be caked with gunk that can't be brushed off? Try brushing with denatured alcohol. Be careful not to get any on the cantilever where it meets the body, especially if it's a Grado. And/or work at it with a Magic Eraser.
It seems unlikely that it's specifically the stylus, just because I've actually tried another stylus and the problem continued. is it possible the wiring/other connections between the stylus and tonearm are damaged?
