Received one in the mail today. Used and a great deal. So far, it gets less opaque on loud passages, the bass is lighter, soundstage is less forward and it may not track as well as the Dynavector 10x5.

These are both enjoyable but I wish I had never heard the $1500 47 Labs McBee.

Oh, now that's cool. I think that's one of the better deals in cartridges. The wood ones are cool looking too; I wonder if they sound as good?

Seems to me one that one of those on a VPI Scout makes a perfect under-$2K entry level for high-end vinyl.

Ever since I got the Ariston and saw the threaded spindle I meant to try. Liked what a clamp did for my VPI HW-19 long ago.

Pretty easy, cut the Macassar Ebony disc with the Jasper Jig and the holes with a forstner bit. I had planned to cut the hole just under-sized and pound in the nut but I didn't have the right size so some epoxy carefully applied sealed the deal.

The sound might be a little more focused, whatever that means but I think it looks cool and 'I made it'.
