I have a Technics Quartz SL Q202 direct-drive turntable that I am running through a Sherwood RX 4103 Stereo Reciever. This system is hooked up to 2 Altec Lansing outdoor speakers. The problem is that when I play my turntable, at the maximum volume it is still not very loud. When I hook up my laptop to the reciever, it gets very loud. My question to all you is how do I increase the volume of the turntable? Any advice is appreciated.

(ps. I have already purchased some new technics floor standing speakers to replace the current ones)

Thanks,
Scott

If your receiver doesn't have a phono input, you'll need to connect the turntable to a phono preamp.
