Hi,
I just acquired a Yamaha YP-B4, replaced it with a new belt and a new AT
stylus. 1- There is very little sound or no sound at all coming out. I had an ADS turntable and works fine with all my audio equipments. Does this have something to do with Magnetic or Moving coil cartridges?
2- The tonearm does not lie properly nor slide at all thru the vinyl when I press "start".
Any input will be appreciated.

You probably need a phono stage for the turntable, and moving coil cartridges are different than moving magnet types, so you need a phono stage appropriate for your cartridge. Most have settings and can work with either.
