Great looking componets! Love the blue ones (blue's my favorite color).

There seems to be a cultural divide along silver/black lines. Audio Note UK makes most things with a choice of brushed aluminum face w/silver knobs or black acrylic w/ gold knobs. I prefer the black, as it appears most US AN buyers do, although keeping fingerprints off is a bear. On the other hand, there are parts of the world where you couldn't *give a piece of black gear away!

My DVD player is a Sony ES9000 and yes, it's black!

The one I finally got (because I couldn't put it off any more)
is a Sony in silver. I bought a black cloth napkin for $2
and put that on top with enough overhang to cover up the
display when the thing is running.

I'd prefer the over/under arrangement for the tray and
led display as well. But some of us play in this hobby on the
low end and haven't branched out into things like NAD.

I'm wondering if the aversion to black is a cultural thing.

For me, black goes with a darkened room for media viewing.

And anything lit up in my filed of peripheral vision is
a distraction. It's not aesthetic, it's physical.
