Hi,

just bought a new turntable/amp/speakers the other day. I've noticed something very strange happening: on a lot of my records, static/surface noise is only constantly present in the left speaker. It's very annoying/distracting.

any ideas what could be the cause of this?

Andrew

Sounds like a dirty connection somewhere or something internal; have you checked the Turntable with another system to rule that out as the source of the problem?
