There is very little information about the AR turntables on the web.I have written a bit (I hope it is correct!) and added it to my website. I would like to add more if I could find the info. Does anyone have any old brochures or magazine articles that they could scan for me. You can see my effort so far by clicking the link below.

Hi Howard, The original AR XA manual along with two headshells and a review from the old Stereo Review from 1967 is on its way. I don't know how long the mails are to Australia but I know from Long Island to Ohio now takes about 6 days, must be that terrorism thing. Or they layed off half the postal service. Also a nice brass counterweight, hope this stuff helps, J.R. I think there is a Pickering cartridge on one of the headshells.
As the local surfer would say,....I am stoked!!! Thanks for such a generous response. I'd set up the barbie and some cold tins if you ever get chance to holiday on the coast.
I am keen to find out as much as possible about these old decks. Mods included and share it with others.
