Hi Colin, I thought it was odd because earlier on I had seen a post where you pointed someone to the Electra-Print site. There's no pwr. supply for that 45 DRD posted. I'm interested in a 2A3 DRD myself, with SS rectifier, just like the Welbourne Labs. Do you know how to alter the 300B one shown on the Electra-Print site? Is that possible, or just a good idea to start from scratch? It seems the B+ of the 300B is much higher and also as I recall the heater voltage supplied too is higher. So, perhaps a different transformer is in order? I don't feel I know enough to design my own yet. I'm not very expert at electronics, just a rookie. Mark

That's what I get for trying to google and not think. Is the power supply not drawn at the bottom of the schematic? It's a B+ of 500V using a PWR45 Trans. What I know about power supplies could be written on the back of a postage stamp. I'm pretty much the newest newbie. I think Forty2wo (John S.) over in the Group Build Forum is going to build the DRD300b. John is a real good guys and helped us with the preamp build; he knows his stuff and might be worth pinging.....Colin

Ah yes, Colin... We were looking at different pages, one of them with "drive" in the title does have the 45 amp power supply shown. This should work for the 2A3 as long as the heater voltage requirements are the same with the 2A3 and the 45. Will have to check on that. Good suggestion about the Group Build Forum. I just discovered it last night and did notice some interest in the 300B. Thanks for pointing me over there. These look pretty simple, so even "dummies" like us should be able to construct, right? Maybe with a little help from Forty2wo? Mark
