Well, what happens if you take two SE amps, details aren't too important yet, and bridge them? Do the phase splitting well, and load the secondary properly. Compare to a PP amp running what is effectively the same load ( 2x SE load ). Both topologies cancel the 2nd harmonic equally well. Both set-ups have the same power. One has to deal with DC on the core, while the PP should not. any predictions on sound quality, better yet, anybody have a spare pair of SE amps? regards, Douglas

The analog of splitting a PP amp right down the middle, including its OPTx. Feed them a balanced( instead of 'phase split', it sounds less like a 'PP damaged' term ). The result will be 2x the power( minus the 2nd harmonic which gets cancelled ). What about the sound? Aside from sonic quality impression, it seems like the worst way to accomplish PP. regards, Douglas
