Missed the post on dual-mono Russell. What I have for trannies is the Handwound replacements they build for the Dyna ST-70. The specs are similar but the build is better. They can run EL-34's or KT-88's 6550's etc. The plitron Iron is they way to go. What I was thinking was to build with the handwound then substitute when funds permit. The circuit seems adaptable to either or. J.R.

J.R. I got my copy of VTV 19 (and 18 and 17) and had a chance to review the KT88 design. One question for you. What are you suppose to bias the tubes at with the bias setting? Gar.

I sort of had the same idea. plitron is the bees knees, but thats a lot of expensive iron if one goes it all at once. Russellc
