Hi all,

Is there any disadvantage to using a switching supply like this opposed to a rectified transformer supply? I could make the amp and supply very small and light with this switcher supply and also allow dual power input (battery/AC). I am just wondering if the switching supply might make hash in the output or get weird when the volume is turned up (I expect load requirements are higher then).

David
