Re: 3pi/ 4pi plans
thanks for the reply. Must get pretty annoying answering questions about modifying plans that you spent countless hours on, and give out for free. I do appreciate your patience. I think I am going to definitely go with the 3PI with a couple of modificat...

Electricity... power strips and ac improvements
Hello friends, For long I wanted to address the issues of too few power outlets and improvement of AC quality. I currently use two $10 power strips. I do not have $2000 for APS purepower or other exotic devices, so maybe some one can help me start off w...

Re: 8 pi plans
Wayne, how would the Alpha 10 work if it was installed in your mid range horn? The horn section itself in the 8pi looks the same? I would have to build a rear chamber for it? I'm not concerned with a crossover network as I use a low level active network.

Re: Thinking of using electronic crossover - what should I know?
I like that little Bench crossover. I did a version of it for my speakers and found it to be very tailorable. 6DJ8 Tube CrossoverActive crossovers are similar to passive crossovers in some respect. One that's most important is the phase matters as muc...

Re: Multisubs
I personally use a Class A FET amplifier, the ProFet amp from Selectronic. This requires a low-pass filter in front of the ProFet amp, and I have played with several types from passive line level filters to various off-the shelf devices. The one I ...

Re: help spend my money on an array project

help spend my money on an array project
I built a 3-way speaker using a Foutek 2.0 and Accuton C-79. I was so impressed when I just crossed the mid / tweeter to my subs that I started thinking about building an array of the same. This design would use 20 C-79 with 18 Founteks. With some talki...

Re: plans for single frequency electronic crossover?
That may very well do the trick. Being a digital device, it must have the ability at least internally, since a filter is implemented as an algorithm. Whether or not you have access to the programming language to tailor the filters is the question, I gu...
