Hey, I thought this forum was about Movies AND Music.

This is the third night in a row that I have "Stepping Out" on, Diana Krall's debut album. The more I listen to this album, the more I'm impressed by what a talent she is. Wonderful mix of vocal and instrumental tracks. The disk also confirms for me that Jeff Hamilton is one of the best jazz drummers recording today.

Look of Love? Without a doubt, one of her worst album. Can't believe that's what most people know her for. Any of the five albums before it is highly recommended. Definately more than just a pretty face.

Whenever I recommend friends listen to her, I suggest 'Stepping Out'. And back to video, eevry time I watch/listen to Live in Paris I'm struck by the way they're all sharing the musical experience.

I haven't heard Diana Krall over and over again like so many people complain of doing when they visit trade shows and hi-fi shops. So I haven't burned out on her and for me, she is new and fresh and very enjoyable.

Diana Krall

I hear her album "The Girl In The Other Room" is due to be released next month, April 2004, and is co-written by Elvis Costello. Seems like I heard they were engaged to be married. Does anyone know if they ever tied the knot? They just did a benefit gig together and with Elton John too, if I'm not mistaken. I think it was to benefit a hospital charity or something like that, in memory of her mother. Her website is linked to the photo above, so I suppose I can go check my facts and see.
