Most of the better high-resolution televisions have SVGA and/or XGA inputs. Just look for "SVGA" or "XGA" in the list of features. Some also have a "MAC" connector, so look for that if you're running a Macintosh.

My Samsung plasma hooks up to my computer. I use my laptop as DVD player and use my plasma TV as screen. Quality is perfect.

There are currently a large number of plasma tvs available on the market which can be used for a number of different applications including presentations, home video and computer uses. Don't you know that you can hook up an XGA computer to an SVGA plasma?

My father-in-law has a 37" Viewsonic that has a connection for a computer. I'd love to plug my laptop into it and see how it looks.

Ok so is this tv the only thing hooked to your computer. Meaning it's not an extra add on or anything like that. It's replacing your monitor

Its amazing how you can actually connect your tv to your computer And if thats the case, then why would you even buy a computer screen? Whats the purpose.

Now how would you hook your laptop up to that. I thought you would only do that with your home computer, that way you can un hook the monitor.
