I'm seeking opinions on the Oppo DV-970HD Universal player. It will be used in a 2-channel system only. No HT. The Perfect Vision Magazine gave it their Editor's Choice award, but I'd like to get some other opinions.

Until your post, I have never heard of this brand. Amazon.com reviews seem to be favorable, and the price is reasonable. Thanks for pointing this one out. I need to get a new player and this one is certainly noteworthy.....C
