I'm inheriting a Sony PS-LX295 and record collection. The turntable doesn't appear to have been used (there's still a cover over the needle), but it is powered by a connection to the amplifier (long gone). Does anyone know how to by-pass the connector to get power to the turntable? The label mentions 12V DC. Thanks. JS

I'm having the same problem with my PS-LX295, and am about to the point where I'm just going to try and salvage a transformer with 12 volt output and hardwire it. Don't know if this will work so don't take my word for it, I haven't tried it yet (haven't found the right voltage transformer).
