I grew up in the 80's so naturally my first album was a rock one. It was Iron Maiden from the British band Iron Maiden. I think I still have it. How about you guys and gals?

Don't tell anyone but mine was the first record by The Monkees. I was probably five or six years old at the time, played it on one of those little portable record players.

I can't remember what my first music album was, but I think it was either Paula Abdul or Poison. It was a tape, actually. All of my albums were audio stories for kids.

Man, I am really embarrassed to admit this, but my first album - which was a cassette tape, actually - was the Hanson's first release.

Laughing

What's even more embarrassing is that I have the digital album on my iPod now.

My very first album was "We're An American Band" by Grand Funk. Followed by "Tattoo You" by the Stones. Shortly later it was "Number of the Beast" by Iron Maiden.

Oh man, we're going back some years here; I had just joined my first music club. I think it was The Ray Conniff Singers, a cover album.

I can't remember what my very first album was, because I got about 12 of them all at the same time when I joined Columbia House Music... Does anyone else remember them? 12 CDs for $1 and then you had to buy like 4 or 5 at "regular price" within the next 2 years... Only their "regular price" for a CD was like, $25!

Hi, This thread brings out the dinosaur in me. Laughing My first LP was a Movie Themes one from United Artists in 1962. I believe I still have it somewhere.

Good Listening

Ha! I remember getting cassettes in that club because there wasn't anywhere to get music otherwise where I lived.
