I have some leftover auralex wedges that I am considering to use instead of R13 to line up the enclosures.
Is there any reason to believe it will not be as effective as R13 for the job?

No, don't use it. Use the R13 as described in the plans - lining the side, back and top or bottom (depending on model) and one sheet spanning the cross-section.

Thank you.

Are 4pi crossovers built based on the specific drivers combinations or the drivers are sufficiently similar so that the same crossovers can be used?

We need to know the drivers chosen. Please tell us in the notes section when you place your order. If you forget, we will email you and ask.

Wayne is there anything else that will work in place of R13?

I'm in Canada and it's impossible to find that stuff here... I've looked everywhere. I can get R14 or similar insulation types around 3-3 1/2" thickness, but that's about it.

R14 is fine. Just don't use any of those alternate materials. Fiberglass works best.
