I would prefer for you to decide which model you want to build first. Let me know and I'll send the plans right out.

Okay. Any chance I can at least have the external dimensions of those speakers with expected FR ranges in standard configurations?

At this stage I'm planning to build a front stage for my lounge room including L/R mains, dual sub boxes and entertainment unit using the same wood and need to figure out what will fit in my room.

Looking for strong lower mid bass output from the front mains (70Hz) with subs reinforcing mid bass but remaining more omnidirectional (cut off around 70 - 80Hz). Due to size restrictions I am considering using the sub boxes as stands for the mains (and possibly aiming the subs at the floor).

Any ideas or words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated Smile

The dimensions and basic specs are shown at the following page:
My suggestion would be to go with the three π or four π mains. Both are about the same size and perform similarly; The real difference is in the woofer family. Both match well blended with multisubs, and both sound very much the same, having similar spectral balance.

Is a Pi configuration that is closest of the Altec VOT A5 design or maybe even better?
