You really ought to consider setting up an off topic forum as part of ART. It's nice to just chit chat sometimes without having to worry about breaking any rules or having your post deleted. Might be a good place to discuss site related issues as well without cluttering up the audio boards.

That's a great Idea. That sort of thing is in the works. I dont think the intention is cut the humor out of life. Most places hosting more than one board allow the general board to slide off topic a little bit. The folks with specific quewtions and comments will go directly to a board that is specific to the question. I can speak for myself and say I love all the humor and some of the cutting remarks. I just dont think there needs to be any name calling or public bashing here.
It's not fun or to anyones advantage to talk trash, have your post axed or have to delete them. It's Christmas ! Enjoy a few things right.

Bill

This forum is starting off the way it should be. I only wish the moderators the best of luck in keeping things on the even keel. Their are plenty of forums to go -trash- without this one being one of them. Hopefully this will be and continue to be a place where people can discuss audio and keep the snide remarks, childhood antics and the status quo of trollers away permantly. As far as open discussions about someones cat et al, their are forums that entertain that type of interaction. An alert feature would be nice to have so people can report postings from those with a track record of nonsensical behavour.

Looks like you are off to a great start! Quality is always better than quantity.

Hi Suzy,
Are you still writing for TAS?

Have you ever listened to a Ph-1 phono pre-amp?
There is one for sale here and I'm kicking the idea around.

What's a nice guy like you doing in a place like this? :-)

Still writing for TAS, but can't help you out on the Audio Electronics Ph-1 as I've never heard one.

Oh poo!

I guess I need to do some digging on the ph-1 and find out some things.

I have an Hw 19 Mk III with a JMW 10/Benz Lo.4
My current Phono preamp is an Acurus P-10

Did you like the flowers?

I think the roses were probably delivered to my address by mistake, as there's another Sue Kraft in town. Happened once before a couple years ago.

I did get a dozen roses once from a hifi dealer (Soundings in Denver) That's when you know you're spending way too much money on stereo!

Gee, my attorney doesn't even send an X-mas card, much less roses!
