Hi, I have a cadet 3 , its making alot of noise through the right channel. Anyone got any ideas.
It works fine through the tape input.

Try the radio input.
See if the input tubes are bad?
or the output tubes?

I'm not familiar with the "Cadet 3" but if you'll describe it, I'll be glad to try and help you out. Have you checked the simple stuff like switches, plugs and cables? Do you have a schematic? Other than tape, what inputs work? Which inputs don't work? Auxiliary, CD, Radio or Phono? Magnetic phono inputs have an additional amplifier stage, but most other inputs usually share common circuitry.

Hi , Cheers for the quick responces, i have sent it back to the shop.
The radio and disc inputs were very noisy especially through the right channel. tried moving valves around but it wasn't that.
