Just came back from a trip to see this show. I had contemplated a trip to Germany in the past to see this - I think it's that valuable. Fortunately, two shows are touring the US (the other is in Cleveland right now), but Chicago has the more famous pieces.

They're headed to Toronto and Philly later (see http://www.bodyworlds.com/en/pages/home.asp).

You can also buy a documentary DVD on line for about $20 to check it out first.

To me, this is very important stuff - well worth the effort.

Well, I guess it is literally?

I'm confused, but I posted it to let people know it's on tour in the US now. It's very, very interesting and certainly an unprecidented kind of exhibition to see.

I think it's also going back to LA again? I think I saw that - it'd be well worth keeping an eye out for in your area.

If you can't go to one of the shows buy the DVD - not quite the same thing as being there but very informative nonetheless.

Sorry if that post appeared glib; I am truely curious. Having just completed anatomy and physiology for a degree I am persuing I see now it would be very interesting. It just seemed at first to be a put on so I re-read the link and understand it to be genuine and something quite amazing.
In your visit can you say how they organise the tour? Is it chaperoned?
