I have got a second hand turntable Lenco Goldring 75. without phonocartridge.
After setting tonearm according the user's guide, I am trying several types of phonocartridges and needles (Shure) connecting the wires properly. The sound is not very good, very poor in low frecuencies. I tested several ways in order to get an accurated alignement, but it is not posible to obtain a quality sound, mainly in stereo records. The turntable has not a previum. The output wires are directly connected to the amp input. What can I try? Does this type of turntable need a previum? I have used these phonocartridges and needles in other turntable (Dual 622) and the machine sounded superb and setting the cartridge was very easy : It sounded fine in almost every position.
Thanks
José
