I'm with you all the way on this one, Bill. It's a bitter pill every time I cut a tax check. I think that when people have it taken out as a payroll deduction, it is a little bit like out of sight, out of mind. They're getting hit pretty hard too, but when you have to put the pen to paper and actually write the check, you realize just how big a bite the tax man takes. I'm all for helping out the community, but I'd rather not throw my money away, which is how I view a lot of government programs.
