I bought this off Ebay a few months ago and liked it so much I
ordered a new pair of their more recent model for use as bridged
monoblocks. So the original is for sale. I plan to list it on
Audiogon for $350, but any ART member can have it for $300 plus shipping and save me the hassle of listing it. I have the original box and manual.
The SM-70 is rated at 25 watts into 8 ohms or 40 watts into four. It
runs in pure class A mode using zero global feedback. Its sound is
the closest I have heard to a single ended triode tube amp, but
without the tube hassle or the need for super high efficiency
speakers. I have found it will drive a 90dB sensitivity pair of
speakers nicely. With 95dB or better speakers it's guaranteed to bring the cops every time. It's in perfect operating condition, and
cosmetically it's typical of well cared for components, with a few
very minor nicks on the cooling fins, but no defects that are
