An fs of 88 HZ probably means issues with getting bass below that from a bass reflex, yes? And a TQWP is similar (at least in temrs of producing bass, right?
ALso, I wonder what the distortion numbers are like on this driver....maybe they are low for some reason and that is why it sounds good!
