Glad you liked all the eye candy. Something I forgot to mention in the picture captions: It's best to coat the entire piece with the 50/50 glue & water mixture and not just the rough edges. The mixture will, like water, raise the "grain" of the mdf, so you need to sand it thoroughly after it's dry, and if you have the patience it doesn't hurt to do a second coat and sand again. This will give you a smooth hard non-porous painting base that allows the automotive-like satin gloss that looks so good on a painted enclosure. If you do not use the glue/water mixture you're going to have to apply many many coats of paint and still have rough edges.
