...that is simple to build using 300B Op points/ transformers, etc but with commonly available and inexpensive tubes and sounds as good as the venerable "B"? I want to build an amp from scratch that sounds better than my good sounding Paramours but can't afford the designer tubes for the present. I could conceivably swap out the TFA 2004s and BCP 15s from the Paramours. Any ideas?
