Yes the radio works. I had to replace the actual power cord and do some soldering. As far as the tubes, it has the original Montgomery Ward Airline tubes in it. See, this radio sat in a vacant house for many many years. The lady that owned it died and no-one ever did anything with it until last weekend.

The face on the radio has yellowed. The radio station here in Rawlins (so far the only one that I can get) works on the radio, but the radio has a hum of sorts. Also, maybe you can tell me, there is a yellow (woven insulated) wire that goes from each side of the radio and across the top (inside the component area) and I'm thinking that it may be the antenna, right? Also one good feature, the dial does still light up. I will send some pics of the radio to you via your e-mail.
