I'm not sure about Yamahas rev?? series, but it was the Yamaha SPX90's they used for reverbs as a standard in the industry and there still used today, and available for decent price. Another one is the Roland SDE-3000(1970's vintage) which is a mono unit, and the old Eventide Clockworks 910(1970's vintage).

And the all time classic Lexicon 480's(1980's+ vintage),which are still used today. Also Lexicon's PCM series, all of which are all high $$$$ now days.(They've gone up in value over the years).

Now days it's usually the TC Electronic M-ONE, and D-2 effects units, which are a whole lot less money than the Lexicon units mentioned above.
