I'd be interested to hear the answer to this to since I've listened to a couple of 1pi (got a pair built too but I got to find some time/money to finish them) and the only complaint I have about them is that the tweeter sounded a little "sharp". It was on a cheap crappy amplifier though (my friend connected them to his old japanese all-in-one crap until his new stuff arrives) so I still have some hope that a warm sounding tube amp will cure this.../Erik
