I believe, but you'll have check this. the 2245 is the oldest and it was replace with the 2241. now the 2242 is the latest and greatest.If your looking to save a few bucks off JBL. I have heard the Kilomax 15 and I think you would be happy with the Kilomax 18 also. The JBL 2245's I have sound great and I have no complaints. Kilomax is half the money though.
There are some other big drivers out there. They cost around 1500 and more. too much for me.
