Hi WayneJust got one of these drivers in excellent condition and am planning to make a center channel out of it. Has anyone tried to use one of these as a Pi?? I spoke to JBL and the t/s is the same as a E-145-8 on the woofer and the compression driver is a 2425. So it looks like a good bet it would work out nicely. The original crossover for the drivers is in the 1k region. I have the schematic for the Urei crossover but it is very complex, and has custom inductors I would have to fab. I would rather give this a try. I did a simple 1.5K 12db buterworth with parts I had on hand and it souded OK but it needed compensation on the high end. I have the 1.6K are any of your other designs closer to 1k??
