Re: New Wood Horns!

Thanks for the intro Wayne,

Since a picture is worth a 1000 words,

With the help of Wayne, this is a prototype of a 800hz bi-radial horn.
Being from a 3rd generation wood working family, I wanted to combine my audio interest, metal working and wood working into something I thought more than just I would be interested in. With the recent peak of interest in wood horn's for hi efficiency speaker systems, this is a conceptual design of a wooden horn with some new features.

800hz horn.
Bi-Radial design.
Billet Aluminum mounting flange.
O-Ring seal's for driver mounting.
Stainless steel mounting hardware.
Nicely figured hard wood.

There are plans in the works for a 500hz and a 1000hz horn as well. Anyone wishing for something like this for their speaker projects is probably interested in another small fact, the cost!
These will be less than half the cost of the beautiful TAD horns, and available in most all figured woods and be around, 900.00 per pair.

These horns will be at the Midwest Audiofest! Lima, OH. so stop and take a look!

Bill
