If you plan to use two woofers, I'd run it as a 2.5-way, with just a large coil on the lower woofer to limit its output to bass only. The upper woofer would be a midwoofer, and it should be connected using the π crossover. Be sure to use a Zobel on the midwoofer to prevent peaking near the crossover frequency.
