Wayne, I keep hearing forum posters refering to "plate amps" for the 4648's. Are they referring to (tube/valve) amps????????? Also, noticed when I ordered crossover (parts express) (1k6 - for 4 pi), that you can order hi-pass only. Could be cost savings for anyone who has some 1 mh coils already. I plucked mine out of AR2-AX speakers, very nice air core around 1.1 mh. If the bulbs (protection) go out (aerospace bulbs???) can I just remove from the circuit (short out bulb connection - assuming series connection)???? I ordered 4 today for total of $105.00. Checking out prices of individual parts, I'm only getting them because they have parts mounted on pcb. I am waiting to see quality of coils and caps. Oh well, enough of my opinionated self.
